Job summary

Amey is hiring a Graduate Civil Engineer in Gloucester. Starting salary £31,000 with a 40-hour week, September 2027 start. You will join the Highways & Transportation Practice, delivering engineer-led projects and collaborating across disciplines to shape the UK's infrastructure.

You'll develop practical skills from day one, supported by industry experts and structured mentoring within a team that partners with National Highways and Network Rail.

Qualifications

• Civil/ Structural Engineering Degree at Grade 2:1 or above.
• A Full UK driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/ Contribute to technical reports, design proposals, and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software and tools to model and analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental, and transport engineers.
• Develop innovative solutions and designs that comply with industry standards and guidelines.
• Deliver robust designs to enable safe, efficient management of assets.
