Job summary

Amey in Birmingham is seeking a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our Highways & Transportation Practice. Starting salary £31,000 and a 40-hour week, with September 2027 start date, and the chance to work on national and local highways projects.

You will support a team of engineers, develop practical skills from industry experts, and contribute to asset management strategies while delivering robust designs that meet industry standards. Hybrid working options available.

Qualifications

• Civil/Structural Engineering degree (2:1 or above) required.
• Full UK driving license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare/Contribute to technical reports, design proposals and client presentations.
• Support the delivery of engineering projects for national and local highways.
• Contribute to asset management strategies and lifecycle planning.
• Use industry-standard software to model and analyse options/performance.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, geotechnical, environmental and transport engineers.
