Amey Ltd in Newcastle is seeking a Graduate Bridges and Civil Structures Engineer to join our team. You will work on challenging projects across the UK and internationally, developing practical solutions from investigation through to detailed design and asset management.

The role offers exposure to carbon assessment, 3D modelling, and digital construction tools, with mentoring from industry experts. We’re looking for graduates with a passion for infrastructure, strong teamwork, and a commitment

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in Civil or Structural Engineering – minimum Grade 2:1.
• Interest in bridges / civil structures.
• Commitment to sustainable development.

Responsibilities

• Join an experienced team on UK and international projects.
• Develop practical, sustainable solutions for bridges and civil structures—from investigation to concept and detailed design.
• Carry out structural analysis, design and assessment calculations.
• Develop carbon and cost estimates, 3D models, drawings and technical documents.
• Assist with bridge inspections, investigations, and supervision of works.
• Contribute to data, analytics and digital technology solutions.

Education

2:1 or better in Civil or Structural Engineering (Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD)
