Job summary

The Blundellsands Surgery is seeking a motivated GP Receptionist to join our team in United Kingdom. You will handle a high volume of calls, book appointments, manage emails and repeat prescriptions, and provide friendly, efficient service to patients.

The role requires excellent communication and IT skills; EMIS Web experience is preferred, with full training provided. NHS pension, 27 days holiday pro rata, and bank holidays are offered from start date.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Good IT skills; EMIS Web preferred but training provided.
• Ability to work under pressure and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Answer a high volume of telephone calls and book patient appointments.
• Deal with patient queries and liaise with clinicians and healthcare professionals.
• Process repeat prescriptions and manage emails and letters.
• Provide clerical support to clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Maintain reception area and appointment system.
