Job summary

Groves Health in New Malden (SW London) seeks an experienced Practice/Operations Manager to lead one or more GP practices. You will drive safe, high-quality patient services while developing administrative teams and ensuring NHS contractual compliance.

You will collaborate with senior leaders, manage governance, and oversee facilities and IT systems to support daily operations and service improvements across sites.

Qualifications

• Educated to A-Level standard or equivalent experience.
• GCSE English and Mathematics at grade C/4 or above.
• Management qualification at Level 5 or above (or willingness to obtain within 12 months).
• Evidence of continuing professional development.
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational leadership of the GP practice to ensure safe, efficient and high-quality patient services.
• Develop and support administrative and reception teams, promoting a positive culture.
• Oversee workforce management, including recruitment, induction and performance management.
• Ensure compliance with NHS, CQC, GDPR, Health & Safety and safeguarding standards.
• Lead investigations of complaints and incidents, embedding learning and improvement.
• Monitor performance against QOF, enhanced services and contractual targets.
• Collaborate with Partners, MMMT, PCN and external organisations on service development.
• Oversee governance, risk management, business continuity and quality assurance.
• Manage premises, facilities, IT systems and operational resources.
• Support payroll, pensions, workforce administration and financial processes.
• Lead regular team meetings and foster engagement and accountability.
• Deputise for senior management and support broader practice operations.
