Job summary

Harlequin Surgery in Birmingham seeks a Practice Manager to run day-to-day operations and lead both clinical and non-clinical teams. You will oversee staffing, finance, governance, CQC compliance and IT, while working with GP partners on service development.

Experience in management is essential; GP practice experience is desirable but not required. Shortlisted candidates may be asked to present a brief overview of their approach.

Qualifications

• Experience of working in management.
• Background in general practice, the wider NHS or other relevant management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all aspects of practice functionality.
• Motivate and manage clinical and non-clinical staff.
• Optimise efficiency and financial performance.
• Deliver the practice's long-term strategic objectives in a safe and effective working environment.
• Oversee HR and workforce management.
• Manage finance, governance and CQC compliance.
• Lead IT and digital systems.
• Lead service development and day-to-day practice operations.
• Lead the team on confidentiality, health and safety, equality and diversity, quality and learning and development.
• Work closely with the GP partners.
• Carry out other reasonable duties requested by the partners.
