Job summary

Woodlands Family Medical Centre in Stockton on Tees is seeking a GP Practice Manager to lead daily operations, governance, and financial performance. You will work closely with GP Partners to drive service delivery, ensure CQC readiness, and optimise QOF outcomes.

The role requires hands-on SystmOne expertise, people leadership, and strategic planning with the PCN, with a 37.5-hour week and a closing date of 16 November 2026.

Qualifications

• Proven management experience within a general practice or NHS setting.
• Hands-on knowledge of SystmOne and primary care workflows.
• Strong leadership with experience managing teams.
• Financial acumen with budgeting and income optimization.
• Excellent communication for staff and patients.
• Experience preparing a practice for a CQC inspection.
• Knowledge of Ardens templates and local PCN collaboration.
• 6 weeks annual leave plus bank holidays

Responsibilities

• SystmOne & IT leadership: direct the operational use of SystmOne and Ardens to maximise data accuracy, scheduling, and QOF reporting.
• Financial management: oversee budgets, maximise income streams (QOF, PCN funding, enhanced services), payroll, and financial performance with partners.
• Human resources: lead and develop admin, reception, and clinical teams; manage recruitment, rotas, and training.
• CQC compliance & governance: lead regulatory compliance, ensure standards, health and safety, and GDPR policies.
• Strategic planning: collaborate with Partners and PCN to adapt to NHS changes and new service models.
