Hawthorn Medical Centre is seeking a reliable Bank GP Surgery Receptionist to support our reception team on Thursdays and Fridays. Shifts run from 08:00 to 18:30, with ad hoc cover as needed. GP practice experience and SystmOne proficiency are essential.

In this busy primary care setting, you will handle calls, appointments, patient requests, and admin duties, while upholding confidentiality and delivering excellent patient service. Competitive bank shifts with holiday pay offered.

Qualifications

• GP Practice receptionist experience.
• Experience with SystmOne.
• Excellent communication and customer service.
• Calm and effective in a busy environment.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Understanding of patient confidentiality and data protection.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Greet and assist patients in a professional and courteous manner.
• Manage incoming and outgoing telephone calls.
• Book, amend and cancel appointments using SystmOne and Anima.
• Process patient requests and enquiries.
• Handle prescriptions and clinical correspondence per procedures.
• Support clinicians and wider practice team with admin tasks.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality.
