Job summary

Horton Golf Park in Surrey, near Epsom, is seeking a Golf Operations Manager to lead daily course operations, coordinate guest services, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality.

You will energize and develop a frontline team, manage tee times and guest inquiries, coordinate with maintenance, and drive efficient, safe, and guest-focused service across the facility to create memorable rounds for players of all levels. Qualifications

• Proven management experience in a hospitality or recreation setting, preferably within golf or sports.
• Strong leadership to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent guest service skills with a passion for creating memorable experiences for diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of golf operations, course maintenance practices, and safety standards is highly desirable.
• Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail in scheduling and operational planning.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as needed to support peak times.
• A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with staff and guests alike.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily golf course operations, including scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Lead and motivate a team of staff members, including starters, marshals, and hospitality personnel, to deliver outstanding guest experiences.
• Oversee guest services by ensuring timely tee times, resolving customer inquiries, and maintaining high standards of hospitality.
• Coordinate with maintenance teams to uphold course conditions that meet quality standards and safety regulations.
• Implement operational procedures that enhance efficiency, safety, and guest satisfaction across all areas of the facility.
• Monitor compliance with health and safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
