Job summary

Workforce Staffing is representing a specialist engineering manufacturer seeking a Technical Sales Representative with a strong technical mindset and commercial drive to grow international sales. The role involves working with distributors, providing technical support and travelling to meet customers globally.

You will develop relationships across export markets, deliver demonstrations, and collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Qualifications

• Engineering HND or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in technical sales, ideally within engineering.
• Experience selling technical products or solutions to customers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercially astute with ability to manage a sales process.
• Experience with international customers, distributors or agents is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop relationships with international distributors and agents across key export markets.
• Work with distributors to implement sales and marketing plans and achieve growth targets.
• Provide high-level technical support, answering customer and distributor queries.
• Understand customer requirements and advise on suitable product specifications and solutions.
• Support customers through the sales process from enquiry to order.
• Visit customers and distributors internationally to develop relationships and convert opportunities into sales.
• Deliver product demonstrations, training sessions and technical presentations both virtually and on-site.
• Attend international trade shows and industry events to promote the product range and generate opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, production and aftersales to ensure customer requirements are met.
• Maintain CRM records, manage sales pipeline and provide forecasts.
• Monitor market trends to identify new opportunities.
• Develop strategies with Sales & Marketing Manager to increase market share.
• Negotiate pricing and discounts within guidelines.
• Provide cover for key team members during absence.
