Job summary

WEP UK is seeking a highly organized Student Coordinator to support exchange students from arrival to departure, ensuring their safety and well-being.

You will be the main point of contact, handle onboarding, orientation, placement, and ongoing pastoral care, while coordinating with host families, schools, and regional representatives.

The role requires excellent communication, meticulous administration, empathy, resilience, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in student support, education, youth work, or customer service.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal).
• Strong organizational abilities with high attention to detail.
• Empathy, resilience, and a passion for cultural exchange.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Student Support: Act as the main point of contact for students, providing guidance, reassurance, and pastoral care throughout their programme.
• Programme Coordination: Assist with the onboarding, orientation, and placement of students.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain regular communication with students, host families, school coordinators, and regional representatives.
• Administrative Support: Manage student files, update internal databases, and ensure all safeguarding and compliance documentation is complete.
• Problem Solving: Address and resolve any student or host family issues efficiently and sensitively.
