Job summary

The University of Plymouth International College (UPIC) invites applications for a Student Experience Officer to join its welcoming campus community on the University of Plymouth.

This full-time role focuses on student services, finances, academic provision and visa compliance, helping international and local students have an outstanding experience.

You will work in a dynamic team, support enrolment, induction and events, and adapt to evolving needs of the college.

Qualifications

• Excellent verbal and written English language communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity with local and international stakeholder groups.
• Experience in a customer service or student-focused environment.
• Tertiary qualifications, or possess related sector qualifications/training.
• Proven ability as a ‘team player’.
• Proven ability to organise own workload and to cope with a variety of demands.
• Flexible attitude to work including occasional weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities

• Administration of teaching staff and involvement in enrolment, induction, finance and orientation of new students.
• Support the delivery of an outstanding student experience meeting learning, wellbeing, welfare and safeguarding requirements.
• Support Student Enrichment and Enhancement Activities and Student Council to amplify student voice.
• Assist in new and existing projects related to the student experience.
• Prepare administration of student-related paperwork such as examination board administration, results release and timetabling.
• Under supervision, review and improve business processes through data analysis.
• Adapt to a dynamic and evolving environment and support changing needs of the College.
