Job summary

Macfarlane Packaging in Gloucester is seeking a Global Sourcing Supply Chain Coordinator. This full-time role supports our global sourcing and supply chain activities, coordinating enquiries, quotations, supplier communications and order processing within a busy office environment.

The ideal candidate will have a solid commercial background, strong systems and Excel skills, excellent attention to detail and an ability to own workload in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years experience in a busy commercial or office environment.
• Strong administration and organisational skills with a structured approach.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel capability including formulas, VLOOKUPs & PivotTables.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate commercial and supply chain activities and maintain trackers.
• Respond to internal enquiries from branches and colleagues.
• Liaise with buyers, customers and suppliers to progress enquiries.
• Convert enquiries into RFQs and coordinate responses from UK/European/Chinese supply base.
• Prepare, process and follow up quotations with accuracy.
• Coordinate samples, payments and approvals including CAD information.
• Process orders and update price lists and production orders.
• Coordinate delivery updates to customers.
