Shift4 is seeking a Senior Payroll Manager to lead international payroll consolidation and global operations, owning the Deel migration strategy and vendor management across 35+ countries. This hybrid role sits in HR Operations and excludes US/Canada payroll.

The role demands program management expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and a focus on compliance, continuity, and payroll controls, with an 1/1/2027 Deel go-live milestone for Germany, Australia, and New Zealand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on international payroll experience across multiple countries.
• Familiarity with Deel platform configuration, onboarding, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage external payroll vendors and drive structured consolidation projects.
• Ability to build SOPs, approval workflows, and compliance controls from scratch.
• Experience with Workday integrations to payroll vendors.

Responsibilities

• Own and project-manage the Deel migration for specified markets with timeline, testing, parallel runs and go-live sign-off.
• Build and maintain the international payroll consolidation roadmap across markets and evaluate Deel migration feasibility.
• Define consolidation approaches for markets with local presence requirements.
