Job summary

GM Performance Power Units is seeking a Payroll Analyst to manage end-to-end payroll for US and UK staff, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will partner with Human Resources to meet deadlines, conduct audits, and generate essential payroll reports using Dayforce HCM.

The role requires 3+ years in payroll, strong Excel skills, and a proactive approach to resolving discrepancies while driving continuous improvement in payroll processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Finance, Accounting, HR, or related field.
• 3+ years of payroll experience in a fast-paced environment.
• 3+ years of payroll processing experience handling multi-state payroll and compliance reporting.
• 3+ years supporting US payroll operations and payroll compliance requirements.
• 3+ years hands-on experience with Dayforce HCM and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience performing payroll audits, reconciliations, and payroll compliance reviews.
• Experience supporting hourly non-exempt workforce timekeeping administration.
• Proven ability to develop, analyze, reconcile, and present payroll data for compliance and decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of payroll compliance regulations.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Administer bi-weekly, monthly, and off-cycle payrolls for salaried and hourly employees across US & UK.
• Ensure compliance with US federal/state regulations, international pay practices, and company policies.
• Coordinate with HR for deadlines, auditing, retroactive adjustments, and off-cycle payments.
• Maintain relationships with payroll vendors and ensure accurate reporting.
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee inquiries timely.
• Support payroll system configuration updates in Dayforce HCM.
• Adhere to auditing procedures and validate state tax allocations and notices.
