Job summary

WR Logistics is seeking an experienced Ocean Import Coordinator in the UK to manage end-to-end ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery. You will ensure accurate documentation and customs compliance while communicating with customers and partners.

The role requires coordinating FCL/LCL imports, liaising with shipping lines, overseas agents and hauliers, and monitoring vessel schedules to prevent delays. Strong organisational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean freight forwarding, specifically import operations.
• Knowledge of UK import processes and customs documentation.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments with accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate ocean import shipments from origin to final delivery.
• Manage FCL/LCL imports from international origins into the UK.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
• Monitor vessel schedules, arrivals, transhipments and delays; update customers.
• Arrange UK haulage and final delivery requirements.
• Prepare and process import documentation (Bills of Lading, arrival notices).
• Coordinate with customs teams to ensure on-time clearance.
• Maintain accurate shipment records in internal systems.
