Job summary

DP World is seeking an Import Logistics Coordinator for the Ocean Freight team in Basildon. You will manage end-to-end ocean import shipments, liaising with customs brokers and overseas partners to ensure compliant, timely deliveries and high service levels.

The role requires 3+ years in ocean freight imports, strong UK customs knowledge, and the ability to work with internal teams in a hybrid environment. Basildon-based, full-time position offering growth opportunities within a global logistics

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' experience in ocean freight import operations.
• Experience handling FCL and LCL shipments preferred.
• Familiarity with UK customs procedures and CDS is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate inbound ocean freight shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Prepare and process shipment documentation including bills of lading and delivery orders.
• Submit import declarations through HMRC CDS ensuring compliance.
• Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, brokers and customers.
• Track shipments and resolve delays or issues to minimise impact.
• Collaborate with Sales and Transport to support workflows and customers.
