American Express Global Business Travel in Manchester, UK is seeking a strategic leader to shape leadership development and engagement initiatives. You will drive capability insights, oversee global surveys, and translate data into actionable leadership actions.

The role requires building proposals, influencing senior stakeholders, and coordinating cross-border programs with HR, technology, and partners. You'll partner on talent development, continuously refresh programs, and ensure onboarding

Qualifications

• Experience in leadership development, engagement, or talent roles within a large, cross-border organization.
• Hands-on experience designing, delivering, and acting on colleague engagement surveys.
• Program and project management experience, with the ability to run multiple large initiatives at once.
• Strategic thinking on leadership capability and organizational engagement.
• Consulting and influencing skills, especially with senior stakeholders.
• Technical and data know-how, including survey platforms, dashboards, and reporting.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• A talent for building relationships and networks.
• A highly organized, detail-oriented approach.
• Comfort working without direct reports in a flexible, collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategic direction for leadership development and spot capability gaps across the business
• Support top talent development programs and our existing leadership and colleague programs
• Bring best practice and fresh ideas to our leadership solutions
• Build program proposals and present them to senior stakeholders
• Own our colleague engagement strategy from end to end, including the bi-annual survey and onboarding and exit surveys
• Lead survey design, delivery, and governance around the world, working with HR, technology, and external providers
• Turn survey results into clear, actionable insights for leaders and HR teams, and keep improving our methodology
• Link engagement results to leadership performance, and show where leadership investment will make the biggest difference
• Flex across colleague and talent development work as priorities shift, including facilitating sessions and supporting programs
