Job summary

M-KOPA is hiring a Lead People Partner to own the people agenda for our Technology organisation as we scale our infrastructure behind financial inclusion in Africa. You will partner directly with the CTO and leadership across Engineering, Data, Analytics, IT and Security, and drive people strategy aligned to roadmaps and organisational evolution.

You will lead a globally distributed population, with one Senior People Partner reporting to you, and you will shape org design, talent development,

Qualifications

• Senior HR experience partnering with engineering or tech organisations.
• Experience leading or coaching HR business partners and raising performance.
• Proven depth in org design: levelling, spans and layers, redesigns.

Responsibilities

• Act as trusted advisor to CTO and leadership across Engineering, Data, Analytics, IT and Security.
• Own engineering and product people partnering with a Senior People Partner reporting to you.
• Lead and coach your direct report, set direction for the technology portfolio partnering model.
• Use people analytics with Centres of Excellence to drive decisions on capability and attrition.
• Drive distributed team effectiveness across multiple regions and time zones.
• Handle senior ER cases with empirical judgment and cross-jurisdiction awareness.
