Job summary

Kraken Works Limited seeks an experienced Field Support Team Leader to head a small team of engineers, coordinating maintenance and on-site support at customer sites, facilities, and overseas locations. The role combines technical leadership with planning and operational delivery in a dynamic environment.

You will troubleshoot faults across mechanical, electrical, software and networking systems, liaising with customers and internal stakeholders, while maintaining safety and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Engineering/electrical/mechanical discipline or related field
• Experience leading a technical support or engineering team
• Experience in field service, maintenance or technical support
• Willingness to travel UK and overseas and obtain security clearances

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate a team of field support engineers
• Act as primary customer contact with professional service
• Oversee planned and reactive maintenance across systems
• Diagnose and resolve faults to maintain equipment availability
• Make informed technical/operational decisions in dynamic environments
• Plan and manage support deployments and schedules
• Coordinate field activity at customer sites and facilities
• Ensure safety and compliance with company standards
• Collaborate with customers and stakeholders on operational requirements
• Support continuous improvement for system reliability
• Maintain service records and documentation
