Job summary

Kraken Technology Group Limited is seeking a practical Mechanical Field Service Engineer to provide mobile, front-line support across customer sites in the UK. You will diagnose faults, repair mechanical systems and maintain diesel engines, often traveling to vessels and platforms with a fully equipped service van.

You will also assist with remote fault diagnosis via the support portal, prioritise requests and provide clear guidance.

Qualifications

Proven fault-finding and diagnostic abilities in field service or workshop settings.
Experience maintaining and repairing diesel engines and propulsion systems.
recognised mechanical/marine/vehicle maintenance qualification or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Provide front-line mechanical field support at customer sites and locations.
Diagnose, maintain and repair mechanical systems and diesel engines on vessels and platforms.
Perform planned and reactive maintenance, component replacements and engine changes.
Manage stock, tools and service consumables for a mobile service capability.
Escalate complex issues to engineering specialists and document findings.
