Job summary

Reed Specialist Recruitment is seeking an experienced Export Logistics Coordinator to join a busy logistics and supply chain operation in Newcastle upon Tyne.

You will coordinate export shipments from booking to final delivery, prepare export documents, liaise with customers and carriers, and ensure compliance with customs procedures while maintaining accurate records. The role offers Monday to Friday hours and a salary in the 35k–38k range.

Qualifications

• Freight forwarding experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of export processes and shipping documentation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate export shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Prepare and process export and shipping documentation.
• Liaise with customers, carriers, suppliers, and overseas partners to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor shipment progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with relevant customs, regulatory, and company procedures.
• Resolve operational issues, shipment delays, and documentation queries in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records and update internal systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and operational partners.
• Support continuous improvement and contribute to efficient logistics processes.
