Reed is seeking a dedicated Sea Freight Import Coordinator in the Manchester area to join our growing logistics team. This hybrid role focuses on managing ocean import shipments from booking through to final delivery, coordinating with customers and overseas partners to ensure smooth operations.

You will handle customs clearance, liaise with agents, carriers and suppliers, and monitor shipments to proactively resolve issues while maintaining accurate documentation and strong customer service.

Qualificações

• Experience in ocean/sea freight forwarding.
• Experience managing import shipments end-to-end.
• Knowledge of customs clearance procedures and compliance.
• Experience using CargoWise or a similar freight/transport management system.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and priorities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.

Responsabilidades

• Manage end-to-end sea freight import shipments from booking to final delivery.
• Liaise with customers, overseas agents, hauliers and suppliers.
• Arrange customs clearance and deliveries.
• Monitor shipments and proactively resolve operational issues.
• Provide regular shipment updates to customers.
• Maintain accurate shipping documentation and records.
• Use CargoWise or similar systems.
• Build relationships with customers and support key accounts.
• Ensure shipments comply with procedures and regulations.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the wider freight operation.
