Job summary

Monzo is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our Employee Relations team. You’ll partner with managers and People Partners, providing specialist advice on complex ER matters across UK and EU, balancing employment law and risk with fairness and practicality.

You’ll also help design policies and coach teams to improve ER outcomes. You will work across global jurisdictions, turning data into actionable insights, and supporting ACAS Early Conciliation and tribunal processes

Qualifications

Strong practical knowledge of employment law and ER best practice.
Experience supporting ACAS Early Conciliation and/or Employment Tribunal claims.
Experience working in a global or multi-jurisdictional ER environment.
Ability to coach and develop others within the ER team.
Comfortable influencing and building trusted relationships with managers and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Be a trusted ER specialist, partnering with managers on complex cases to reach fair outcomes.
Support ER across UK and EU locations, adapting advice to local laws and practices.
Independent handling of performance, conduct, grievances, absence, and other complex workplace issues.
Coach and mentor less experienced ER colleagues to build judgment and confidence.
Support employment disputes and litigation, coordinating with Legal, external counsel as needed.
