Job summary

Monzo is seeking an experienced Employee Relations Advisor to join our ER team. You will provide specialist guidance on complex and higher-risk ER matters across our global locations, with a focus on the UK and EU.

This role requires independence, strong judgment, and a practical, fair approach to balancing employment law and business needs. You’ll work with managers, People Partners and teams to improve ER processes, coach teams, and lead initiatives that scale our ER practices across

Qualifications

• Experience advising on complex and higher-risk ER matters.
• Experience supporting ACAS Early Conciliation and Employment Tribunal claims.
• Experience across global locations and multiple jurisdictions.
• Ability to coach managers and mentor colleagues.
• Strong employment law knowledge with a data-driven approach.

Responsibilities

• Partner with managers on complex, sensitive ER matters with clear, pragmatic advice.
• Adapt ER guidance to different jurisdictions, cultures and legal requirements.
• Support issues across performance, conduct, grievances, absence, capability and organisational change.
• Coach managers to own decisions while ensuring accountability remains with the manager.
• Support ER colleagues on complex or ambiguous cases, helping them think through options.
