Job summary

Holt Recruitment Group Limited is working with an established engineering and manufacturing client to recruit an experienced Despatch & Transport Controller for the Operations Team. The role focuses on coordinating UK and international shipments, managing export documentation and ensuring orders are despatched accurately and on time.

You will liaise with transport providers, freight forwarders and customers, maintain CRM/ERP records, and support invoicing and supplier negotiations.

Qualifications

• Experience in despatch/transport/logistics role with export knowledge.
• Proven ability to prepare export documentation for road/sea/air freight.
• Strong organisational skills and accuracy in records.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily despatch schedules with transport providers and freight forwarders.
• Arrange collections and coordinate UK and international shipments.
• Prepare export and shipping documents for road, sea and air freight.
• Track export documents and maintain accurate records.
• Update CRM/ERP systems and WIP reports.
• Process orders to support timely invoicing.
• Obtain transport quotations and liaise with suppliers and customers.
• Resolve despatch-related administration issues.
• Coordinate project shipments and internal transport movements to testing facilities and subcontractors.
