Job summary

Pertemps Bond is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to manage movement of goods both in the UK and internationally from Uttoxeter. The role combines hands-on warehousing duties with administrative tasks, ensuring safe, compliant transport and accurate documentation.

You will coordinate shipments, liaise with providers, prepare paperwork, and support DGSA-compliant activities while maintaining stock and warehouse safety. A strong team player with attention to detail is ideal.

Qualifications

• Experience in logistics, warehousing, distribution or shipping.
• Experience with goods-in/goods-out, dispatch or stock movements.
• Valid forklift truck licence.
• Knowledge of manual handling and warehouse safety.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage multiple activities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with colleagues and providers.
• Good IT skills including Word and Excel.
• Comfort learning bespoke software and databases.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Careful, methodical approach to paperwork and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate UK and international logistics activities, arranging shipments and collections.
• Liaise with freight and logistics providers for road, air and sea transport.
• Prepare and maintain shipping, transport, customs and export documentation.
• Support transportation of regulated and dangerous goods with proper procedures.
• Work with DGSA to ensure compliance with transport laws.
• Prepare consignments for dispatch including packing, labelling and palletising.
• Manage goods-in/goods-out, receiving, storage and outgoing consignments.
• Ensure shipments are identified and documented before leaving site.
• Operate forklift trucks and handling equipment to move goods safely.
• Monitor stocks of packaging, pallets and materials for dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse and logistics environment.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure materials are available.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting deliveries and schedules.
