Job summary

Oliver Valves Ltd, Knutsford (UK), is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to lead sales of the Hydcovalves product range across international territories, build a strong pipeline, appoint distributors and convert opportunities into orders.

You should have a mechanical or instrumentation engineering background, proven sales in oil, gas or hydrogen sectors, and the ability to communicate with technical and C-suite stakeholders to close major deals.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering or comparable technical background.
• Strong knowledge of valves and engineered products.
• Significant sales experience in a relevant industry.
• Experience developing business in international markets and closing sales.
• Ability to communicate confidently with technical teams, commercial contacts and senior decision-makers.
• Proactive, well-organised and driven to take opportunities through to completion.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales of the Hydcovalves range across assigned territories and meet annual targets.
• Identify new customers and project opportunities, build a strong pipeline, convert opportunities into orders.
• Build relationships with engineering, maintenance and shutdown teams at end-user organisations.
• Appoint and manage distributors and agents to grow sales in markets.
• Secure AML approvals and manage pre-qualifications.
• Collaborate with inside sales, aftermarket and project teams to support customers through to completion.
• Represent the business at customer meetings, exhibitions, seminars and technical presentations.
• Maintain up-to-date records of customers, opportunities and activities in CRM.
