Job summary

Squire's Garden Centres are seeking a Gift Department support role on a fixed-term maternity cover basis. You will work closely with the Garden Centre Manager to help the department succeed, managing stock, coordinating tasks, and assisting with purchasing.

A consistent rota includes Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays 09:00-18:00 and alternating Tuesdays/Thursdays and alternate weekends, with duties across the centre.

Qualifications

• Stock control experience to maintain accurate levels and stock clearance.
• Co-operate with line management and Product Managers.
• Take responsibility for the centre in the Manager's absence.
• Purchasing within company guidelines.
• Provide feedback on current and new products to optimise range and stock availability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain stock levels with accurate ordering and clearance.
• Co-operate with management and Product Managers.
• Act as stand-in for the Manager in their absence.
• Purchase within company product range guidelines.
• Feedback on products to optimise range and stock availability.
• Work with Product Managers to ensure the best range and stock levels.
• Use initiative to increase sales in the department.
• Engage with customers to identify sales opportunities.
• Maintain appearance standards and organize team tasks.
