Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a proactive Business Development professional to drive qualified sales opportunities for the DACH region, collaborating with regional sales and marketing teams to nurture inbound and outbound leads. You will develop deep account knowledge and connect influencers and decision-makers to the Sales team.

Qualifications

• Highly motivated with competitive personality and strong attention to detail.
• Cloud-based solutions experience is a plus.
• Salesforce or CRM experience is a bonus.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication; strong organisational skills.
• Proven track record in a goal-driven environment.
• Fluent German and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales-accepted leads and respond to product inquiries.
• Gather actionable intelligence (competition, projects, purchase intent, etc.) for the accounts you manage.
• Follow-up on all leads generated by marketing and convert initial interest into sales-accepted leads.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Manage cold-calling telephone-based campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Complete accurate tracking of communications with current and potential customers in Salesforce.com.
• Schedule demonstrations between Sales team members and potential customers.
