Job summary

Proofpoint is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to generate qualified sales opportunities for the DACH region. You will collaborate with regional sales and marketing to drive inbound and outbound activity, gather intelligence on target accounts, and connect influencers with decision makers.

Fluency in German and English is required, with experience in CRM tools like Salesforce a plus.

Qualifications

• German & English language skills required.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication.
• Experience with cloud solutions is a plus.
• Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is a bonus.
• Previous experience in a goal-driven environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Qualify and develop inbound and outbound sales accepted leads.
• Gather actionable intelligence (competition, projects, purchase intent) for assigned accounts.
• Follow-up on leads generated by marketing and convert initial interest.
• Manage email campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Manage cold-calling telephone-based campaigns to generate new sales prospects.
• Complete accurate tracking of communications in Salesforce.com.
• Schedule demonstrations between Sales team members and potential customers.
