Job summary

Arcadis is expanding its Ground Investigation capability in the UK. We seek a senior professional to lead geotechnical projects, mentor the team, manage client relationships, and drive work-winning activities across rail, highways, energy and water sectors.

You will oversee site investigations from inception to delivery, coordinate field activities, and ensure safety and quality in aligned with national standards. Flexible UK location within listed offices.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years’ experience in the ground investigation industry.
Strong safety record with leadership in hazards and risk management.
Experience supervising site contractors e.g. drillers.
Broad skills: people management, communication, business development, contract management, project delivery.
SMSTS preferable.
Proficient in factual ground investigation reporting.
Experience managing teams and stakeholders.
Professional membership and chartership desired.
Rail / Highway / Energy sector experience desired.

Responsibilities

Lead bidding and opportunity identification.
Plan and execute geotechnical ground investigations UK-wide.
Coordinate supply chain and procurement.
Maintain safety culture with Protecting Our People priority.
Manage field-based work across the UK, including site management and data collection.
Log soil and rock; collect samples; conduct field testing.
Compile factual ground investigation reports.
Collaborate with Arcadis teams to ensure project integrity.
Develop client relationships and drive work winning.
Mentor and develop team members.
