Job summary

Arcadis seeks a Senior Ground Investigation Engineer to lead site investigations across the UK. You will coordinate field teams, manage programmes and work closely with project managers on infrastructure projects across rail, energy, highways and waterways.

You will bring 5+ years of field experience, strong health and safety practice, and a background in contracting. This permanent role offers diverse UK-wide opportunities with an award-winning team.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Geology, Geoscience, Geography or Civil Engineering.
• Experience as lead engineer on large ground investigation projects and supervising engineers/contractors.
• Minimum of 5 years field experience.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract management and related processes.
• Strong health and safety and risk management expertise; construction phase plan documentation.

Responsibilities

• Site management including supply chain coordination and procurement.
• Field-based work across the UK with emphasis on SHEQ and documentation.
• Leadership of site teams and programme management feeding into project management.
• QA/QC of soil/rock logging to British Standards and reporting.
• Commercial reporting to the project manager and identifying early warnings.
