Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a senior ground investigation engineer to join our UK Site Evaluation and Restoration team. You will lead ground investigations on large projects across infrastructure sectors, working from client sites and Arcadis offices.

You will manage programmes, supervise engineers and contractors, ensure SHEQ compliance and report progress to the Project Manager, building strong client relationships across the UK.

Qualifications

• BSc/BEng in Geology, Geoscience, Geography or Civil Engineering.
• Experience leading large-scale ground investigations and supervising engineers/contractors.
• Minimum 5 years in the field.
• Knowledge of NEC4 contract management; able to manage early warnings and compensation events.
• Strong SHEQ and risk management; budgetary and technical planning.

Responsibilities

• Site management including supply chain coordination and procurement.
• Field-based work across the UK, with leadership of site teams and project management input.
• QA/QC of soil/rock logging to British Standards and in-situ testing.
• Commercial reporting to project manager; input into warnings/CEs.
• Stakeholder liaison and cross-discipline collaboration.
