Cowi in Derby is seeking a Graduate Engineer (Geotechnical/Geology) for a permanent, summer intake with office/home hybrid working. You will join our Ground Engineering team across the UK, contributing to prestigious infrastructure programmes while learning from experienced engineers who guide your path to Chartership.

Typical responsibilities include geotechnical design, site investigations, ground modelling, and reporting, with a tailored development plan to achieve professional accreditation.

Competenze

• Bachelor's or master's in Civil/Structural/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology with MSc in Engineering Geology or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Motivation to become a Chartered Engineer or Chartered Geologist.
• Some practical experience via year in industry, summer placements, or final year project with real-world geotechnical/geology applications.

Mansioni

• Carrying out geotechnical design activities from data to calculations and reports.
• Undertaking engineering geological mapping and ground modelling.
• Supporting and supervising ground investigations on site.
• Checking calculations and drawings from other engineers.
• Applying engineering best practice, including using carbon calculation tool.
• Planning and prioritising workload with project manager and tracking progress.
• Handling deliverables with accuracy and quality.
• Attending site visits or client meetings.
