COWI is seeking a Graduate Engineer (Geotechnics/Geology) for the Derby Summer Intake 2027. You will contribute to UK infrastructure projects under guidance from experienced engineers and a tailored development plan aimed at Chartership.

Typical tasks include geotechnical design, data interpretation, site investigations, and reporting. We value collaboration, curiosity, and a commitment to quality across diverse project teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering or Geology with MSc.
• Motivation to become Chartered Engineer/Geologist and pursue chartership.
• Practical experience in an engineering environment or related project.

Responsibilities

• Carry out geotechnical design activities and data interpretation.
• Undertake site-scale mapping and ground modelling tasks.
• Support and supervise ground investigations on site.
• Check calculations and drawings for accuracy.
• Promote engineering best practice and use in-house tools.
• Plan workload with project manager and monitor progress.
