Job summary
Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a geologist/geotechnical engineer to join our Geohazards & Rock Engineering team in the UK.
You will plan and monitor ground investigations, develop and interpret ground models, and provide geotechnical advice to clients and design teams. Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in engineering geology or a related field.
- 3–6 years of relevant work experience.
- Working toward chartership through a relevant institution.
- Strong understanding of ground models and practical knowledge of IAEG Guidelines.
- Experience in desk-study appraisals and detailed interpretive reports.
- Field experience of ground investigations and geomorphological/geological mapping.
- Experience with Leapfrog Works and GIS (ArcPro or QGIS) preferred.
Responsibilities
- Plan and monitor ground investigations and develop/interprete ground models.
- Manage data in GIS systems and provide geotechnical advice to clients and design teams.
- Oversee delivery of specialist ground improvement schemes.
- Prepare geological maps, cross-sections, 3D ground models and reports for projects.
- Collaborate with engineers and planners to integrate geological data into designs.
