Job summary

Stantec is seeking a geotechnical professional to join its Geohazards & Rock Engineering team in the UK. You will plan ground investigations, interpret models, and provide expert geotechnical advice across regional and international projects.

The role requires 3–6 years’ experience, a degree in engineering geology or geotechnical engineering, and readiness for chartership. Hybrid working with three office days per week is available.

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering geology, geotechnical engineering or related field; 3–6 years experience.
• Working towards chartership through a relevant institution.
• Strong knowledge of ground models and IAEG guidelines.
• Experience in desk-study appraisals and interpretive reports.
• Field experience in ground investigations and mapping.
• Preference for Leapfrog Works and GIS experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor ground investigations; develop and interpret ground models.
• Provide geotechnical advice to clients and design teams.
• Oversee delivery of ground improvement schemes and projects.
• Collaborate with engineers and planners to incorporate geological data.
• Maintain relationships with contractors and clients to meet scope and budget.
