Job summary

Culina Group in Tilbury is seeking a General Warehouse Operative for a 4-on/4-off days shift in our chilled distribution operation. You will operate forklifts in a temperature-controlled environment and help keep stock moving safely and accurately across a fully palletised warehouse.

The role requires reliability, safety awareness and team collaboration, with duties including picking, loading/unloading, scanning pallets and ensuring timely handovers with shift teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse operations and order picking.

• Comfortable working in a chilled environment (~3°C).

We also have a site bonus scheme that rewards colleagues for their performance. This can increase earnings by an additional £2.50 per hour, £5,500 per annum

We’re looking for experienced General Warehouse Operative to join our busy chilled distribution operation. You’ll play a key role in keeping stock moving safely and efficiently across a fully palletised warehouse environment.

This is a great opportunity for reliable, safety-conscious MHE / FLT Reach Drivers who are confident working in a fast-paced warehouse and take pride in accuracy, teamwork and high standards.

The role is based within our chilled warehouse, operating at approximately 3°C, so you’ll need to be comfortable working in a temperature-controlled environment.

What you’ll be doing:

You’ll play a key role in keeping our customer orders moving safely, accurately and on time.

Your day will include:

• Operate forklift trucks safely and efficiently in a palletised storage and distribution environment.
• Pick stock and orders from set locations within the chilled warehouse.
• Load and unload wagons or containers in line with site procedures.
• Scan pallets accurately into the correct locations and complete all tasks fully.
• Move, organise and handle goods carefully to maintain product quality and condition.
• Support the smooth flow of stock throughout the warehouse operation.
• Carry out equipment checks and report any faults, damage or safety concerns promptly.
• Follow site safe systems of work, including PPE, walkways and designated areas.
• Work closely with Team Leaders, colleagues and shift teams to ensure clear handovers and operational priorities are met.
