18 Week Support is seeking a General Surgery Scrub Nurse to join their team in the Midlands. This position offers flexible weekend sessions with competitive rates and the opportunity to work alongside experienced theatre and recovery teams in a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with valid NMC registration and a minimum of 6 months experience in a surgical setting. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms and ensuring all surgical instruments are sterile and available.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies are available, functional, and sterile.
• Verify patient identity, procedure details, consent forms, and surgical site according to established protocols.
• Participate in surgical safety checklists and team briefings.
• Anticipate equipment and instrument needs based on the planned procedure.
• Maintain strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.

Requirements
