Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking a Surgical Recovery Nurse in the Midlands to deliver high standards of patient care in a surgical recovery environment. This opportunity offers flexible weekend sessions with amazing rates of pay and the chance to work alongside experienced teams.

As a Surgical Recovery Nurse, you will monitor and care for patients recovering from anaesthesia, ensuring safety and comfort. A valid NMC registration and 6 months of recent surgical recovery experience are required. Join a leading provider to the NHS and make a difference in patient care.

Qualifications

• Current experience working within a surgical recovery setting.
• Proven NHS experience required.
• Desirable experience in surgical wards, General surgery or urology environments.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high standards of post-operative care in the recovery area.
• Assess and care for patients recovering from anaesthesia.
• Monitor patient observations and escalate concerns.
• Collaborate with theatre and ward teams for safe patient handovers.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
