Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking a General Surgery Scrub Nurse to join their team in the Midlands. This position offers flexible weekend sessions with competitive rates and the opportunity to work alongside experienced theatre and recovery teams in a patient-focused environment.

The ideal candidate will be a registered nurse with valid NMC registration and a minimum of 6 months experience in a surgical setting. Responsibilities include preparing operating rooms and ensuring all surgical instruments are sterile and available.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a surgical setting for at least 6 months in the last year.
• Proven NHS experience preferred.
• Experience in surgical wards or theatre environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures.
• Ensure all surgical instruments and supplies are functional and sterile.
• Verify patient identity and surgical details according to protocols.
