Job summary

18 Week Support is seeking a Theatre HCA for weekend sessions in the Midlands to support a busy General Surgery and Urology service within the NHS. You will join experienced theatre teams in a patient-focused environment, with flexible additional sessions and competitive rates of pay.

Successful candidates will be currently practising or have recent NHS experience in a surgical setting, with strong communication and teamwork to ensure patient safety and smooth theatre workflows.

Qualifications

• Currently practising or has practised as a Theatre HCA in a surgical setting within the last 12 months (minimum 6 months).
• Proven experience working in the NHS.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and smooth running of theatre and clinical areas.
• Support the theatre team during General Surgery and Urology procedures, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
• Prepare equipment, instruments and consumables for procedures.
• Take and record patient observations as required.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

• Currently practising, or has practised, as a Theatre HCA within a surgical setting for a minimum of 6 months within the last 12 months.
• Proven experience working in the NHS
