Job Title: General Services Manager
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a General Services Manager with a specialization in Facilities Management and IOSH. This role is based on a static site in Tutbury, where you will lead a dedicated team to ensure seamless operation and maintenance of the site in Facilities Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the service at the point of delivery exceeds standards and meets client objectives in terms of finance and operational KPIs.
- Understand the services offered by the client and the end-to-end processes involved in delivering these services, and communicate effectively about these to clients and business managers.
- Maintain high standards as per contract specifications by regularly inspecting services provided.
- Communicate effectively with your team to support the implementation of new initiatives aligned with the Go for Growth Strategy.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance client's revenue and labor productivity.
- Engage personally with customers through your management team to ensure service satisfaction using tools like feedback surveys and needs profiling.
- Investigate and address failures in compliance or initiatives to improve performance.
- Take a hands-on approach to all services as needed.
- Review audits such as Safeguard, SIA/Secure, Food Service, and cleaning, ensuring completion within deadlines and actions are implemented.
- Conduct regular audits of operations against specifications and monitor compliance.
- Attend monthly GSM meetings, training, and site visits to network and gain subject knowledge.
- Hold your team accountable for meeting key objectives, following performance management procedures when necessary.
- Ensure employees undergo comprehensive induction and ongoing training.
- Set and review targets and objectives with your team regularly, including performance and development reviews.
- Conduct formal reviews monthly and a comprehensive annual Performance Development Review, including six-monthly reviews.
- Coach and mentor your team, adopting a structured approach to performance management.
- Support Learning & Development programs and pursue your own professional growth.
- Develop your team’s capabilities through continuous development and nominations for learning activities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- IOSH Qualification is essential.
- Proven experience in a technical management role, preferably at a static site.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with P&L reports, labor productivity management, client retention, and business planning.
- Experience with growth, development, audit scores, and internal compliance standards.
- Knowledge of health & safety compliance and safe behaviors.
