Very Media is a growing, independent media agency that excels in delivering top-tier media planning and buying services for a diverse client portfolio, ranging from start-ups to major brands. We have achieved excellent results across various B2C and B2B sectors globally, driven by our passion for client success. As we expand, we are seeking a talented Account Manager to join our dynamic team.

The Role:

As an Account Manager, you will be instrumental in planning, negotiating, and executing media campaigns across multiple channels. Very Media is divided into Biddable and Non-Biddable teams; this role is within the Non-Biddable team. You will report to a Client Partner and be responsible for planning and purchasing media such as TV, radio, OOH, paid content, trade, and digital media, while collaborating closely with the Biddable team for expertise in PPC, Programmatic, etc. The role offers exposure to various media types, making each day unique. Very Media operates fully remotely, and we prefer a freelance candidate who is a self-starter and ambitious. This position is suitable for someone early in their career, looking to advance from their second or third media agency role.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Media Planning & Strategy: Develop strategic media plans aligned with client goals, audience insights, and budgets, balancing traditional and digital media.
  2. Media Buying: Negotiate and purchase media across channels to secure optimal rates, placements, and value for clients.
  3. Campaign Execution: Oversee the launch of media campaigns, ensuring timely, on-budget delivery aligned with client objectives.
  4. Optimization & Performance Tracking: Monitor and optimize ongoing campaigns to maximize ROI, adjusting strategies based on data and feedback.
  5. Market Research: Stay informed on media trends, audience behavior, and competitors to guide planning and buying decisions.
  6. Client Collaboration: Work with clients and internal teams to present media plans, strategies, and performance insights.
  7. Reporting & Analytics: Prepare reports with insights and recommendations for future strategies based on campaign data.

Who You Are:

  1. You have 18 months to 3 years of experience in media planning and buying at a UK media agency. Exposure to multiple media types is preferred.
  2. You are early in your career, seeking growth opportunities.
  3. You understand both traditional and digital media landscapes and their roles in the media mix.
  4. You possess strong negotiation skills and a proven ability to secure value for clients.
  5. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple campaigns and deadlines.
  6. You have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex strategies clearly.
  7. You are a disciplined self-starter, comfortable working remotely and collaboratively.
