ROLE LOCATION

This is a remote role based in North, where the ideal candidate will be in the either of the following locations, North of Birmingham ideally Manchester however North West & East applications will also be considered.

BASIC PURPOSE

The Business Development Specialist will drive incremental business growth across a diverse spectrum of our UK and Ireland-based travel partners.

Primarily an outbound trade sales role, they will follow up wider marketing communications sent to our travel partners to identify opportunities and agree promotions. They will also fulfil marketing queries, proofing marketing materials, prioritising tasks, sending out marketing collateral to Travel Partners as these requests arise. They will assist with creating marketing investments and handling invoicing in conjunction with the Accounts department.

This is a remote role based in the North of England and will involve occasional travel to represent the brand at meetings and events. Essentially 9am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, but the nature of the position may require working outside these hours, including occasional weekends.

The Business Development Specialist will often be the first point of contact for trade sales activities across many travel partners. As such, this role will require a high level of attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workflow daily in a fast-paced sales environment to maximise sales and marketing outputs.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Outbound call Travel Agents regularly to prospect new opportunities and activities.
  • Engage with Travel Consortia to identify new potential Travel Partners suitable for Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
  • Regular 1-2-1 meetings with Business Development Manager UK & Ireland consisting of, training, activity progress & business updates.
  • Record sales meetings minutes in Salesforce CRM system.
  • Utilise RSSC’s online Marketing and learning functions to ensure Trade Partners have the most up to date tools and knowledge of the brand.
  • Where appropriate incentivize agents further to promote Regent Seven Seas Cruises.
  • Keep abreast of current RSSC sales campaigns and deployment to effectively utilise them to increase sales.
  • Work some evenings and weekends where necessary.
  • Actively manage budgets and ensure maximum returns from investment.
  • Prioritise work focus, depended on business needs.
  • Attend events, conferences, and ship visits.

EXPERIENCE

  • Three A-Levels A-E or equivalent college qualification
  • Higher Education Diploma/ Degree
  • Salesforce experience or other CRM experience.
  • Customer Service and experience of outbound sales calling would be desired.
  • Travel-related experience.

COMPETENCIES/ SKILLS

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and client service driven in a team-based environment.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable with opening new conversations with people unfamiliar with RSSC, particularly over the phone
  • Customer-centric skills to help maintain business relationships and drive results.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible approach to problem solving.
  • Innovative and self-driven.
  • Commitment and interest in luxury brands.
  • Enthusiastic and passionate with a “can do” attitude.
