Job summary

Upham Inns is looking for a General Manager to lead one of our premium pubs across Southern England. You will drive guest service to the highest standards, mentor the team and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

In this role you’ll manage P&L, scheduling, stock control and health & safety, while building a warm, welcoming pub environment customers love. A strong leader with hospitality passion will thrive here.

Qualifications

• Experience as General Manager in gastro pubs or proven track record across pub/restaurants.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams to deliver guest service at the highest level.
• Financial understanding including P&L, sales and labour budgeting.

Responsibilities

• Manage pub operations in line with company procedures and brand standards.
• Lead, train and coach the team to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Engage with the local community to build repeat business and reputation.
• Ensure health and safety of guests and staff, and compliance with licenses.
• Oversee stock control, ordering, and wastage management; prepare rosters two weeks in advance.
