BaxterStorey in Glasgow is recruiting a General Manager to lead a team of 19 chefs and front‑of‑house staff in a busy contract catering site, serving around 3,000 covers daily, with a full vending offer.

The role requires strong leadership, financial acumen, and the ability to meet client targets within budget; you will work with Catering Manager and Head Chef, develop services, and drive improvements.

Qualifications

• 2+ years GM experience in contract catering.
• Proven budgeting and cost-control abilities.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.
• Customer service focus with company standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 19 with chefs and front‑of‑house staff.
• Collaborate with Catering Manager and Head Chef.
• Meet financial targets in line with the client budget.
• Carry out appraisals, training needs and development.
• Hold regular team meetings to communicate targets and standards.
• Meet monthly client KPIs.
• Work with Operations Manager to prepare budgets and control food costs.
• Develop and evolve services at the location with improvements.
