Job description

Pinnacle Recruitment are currently looking for a General Foreman to work for one of the largest construction firms in the UK. This role will be based in Aylesbury.

Salary - £60,000 - £65,000 + pkg

Duties
  • Managing daily site operations, labour, plant, and materials to meet programme and quality standards.
  • Acting as Principal Designer on-site, ensuring CDM compliance and overseeing design and RAMS approvals.
  • Promoting a proactive health and safety culture, demonstrating visible leadership and compliance with company policies.
  • Ensuring lifting activities and Temporary Works are properly controlled and meet all legislative requirements.
  • Coaching teams in health, safety, quality, and best practice to continually improve performance.
  • Managing and mentoring operatives and subcontractors, ensuring competence and compliance at all times.
  • Leading by example — encouraging hazard reporting and embedding a zero-harm culture.
  • Overseeing site documentation, including H&S plans, environmental plans, and quality records.
  • Managing plant, materials, and resources efficiently to support delivery against programme.
  • Maintaining accurate daily records, reports, and KPIs, contributing to weekly site reporting.
Requirements
  • An experienced leader with a strong background in civil engineering or utilities, ideally gained on major infrastructure projects
  • Solid technical knowledge of CDM 2015 regulations
