Job summary

Randstad UK is seeking Qualified Supply Teachers (QTS) for flexible day-to-day cover across Southampton. This role offers a better work-life balance by removing planning, marking, and parental evenings, while allowing you to select preferred days.

Deliver pre-planned lessons, manage classrooms, and provide handover notes for regular teachers. Enjoy a predictable schedule with standard hours and gain varied experience across key stages in local schools.

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS or UK equivalent and be eligible to teach in UK
• Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to establish authority quickly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for diverse classrooms
• Willingness to obtain/hold valid Enhanced DBS via Update Service

Southampton on a day-to-day supply basis. This is your chance to focus purely on teaching and classroom management while enjoying complete control over your working schedule.

• Maintain a structured, positive, and safe learning environment.
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
• Leave detailed handover notes for the regular class teacher.
• Ensure pupils remain on task and complete set work.

Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
• Strong behaviour management skills with the ability to establish authority quickly.
• High degree of adaptability, enthusiasm, and excellent communication abilities.
• Valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
